Wrangell / St. Elias
The National Park Wrangell/St.Elias is the biggest one in the USA. It ist four times as big as Yellowstone and the number 13 million acres is quite impressive. The park is called the mountain kingdom of America and it deserves that title. Nowhere else you can find a dozen of mountains in the 15.000ft range. And the scenery is not just big, it is beautiful and worth a long stay.
As in Denali National Park I can only recommend to consider flying over the mountain range with its glaciers, lakes, rivers and much more. There is no better way to comprehend the gigantic landscape.
